In order to share our conviction regarding the significance and potential of the human brain, the Korea Institute of Brain Science began hosting an annual International Brain HSP Olympiad (IHSPO) in 2005.
The IHSPO features events that highlight brain potentiality itself, rather than applications in any particular field. For example, competitors in the HSP Gym event challenge themselves by holding demanding postures for ki-energy accumulation. HSP Speed Brain competitors extract detailed information about multiple visual symbols in a fraction of a second. In HSP Brain Window, participants identify colors, shapes, and alphabet letters while wearing a blindfold.
The IHSPO is a celebration of a new era of challenges and solutions, founded on the power of the human brain.
